Our MortaKote is designed to be an additive to your cement mix that is applied as the 'top coat' or top layer of the concrete as the final floor layer. Its purpose is to make the concrete floor more hardwearing and somewhat hydrophobic.
MortaKote is to be added to the skim layer of the concrete floor for a self levelling layer that will protect the floor once completely cured.
If required or desired you can use the MortaKote in the main cement mixture in order to protect the entire concrete slab from weathering and waterproofing it, keeping moisture and damp from forming in the floor that can be an issue in more damp locations.
MortaKote has been specially formulated to be mixed in with your cement mix. This is to help provide a self leveling slurry which, once fully cured and dry, will protect the concrete surface from abrasion, weather conditions and constant foot traffic.
This specialised liquid has been used by a few contractors on freshly laid concrete slabs for warehouses, and once a grinder is run over it produces a stunning smooth surface. MortaKote provides peace of mind to both the contractor and client that their floor is fully protected for many years to come.
MortaKote can be used on already cured floors, walls, stairs, literally ANYTHING that is getting a cement skim to provide that protective layer.
